General comments
Slechts behandelen wanneer sprake is van langer bestaande diarree veroorzaakt door mono-infectie met D. fragilis
Om accumulatie van clioquinol te voorkomen wordt aanbevolen het gebruik van clioquinol te beperken tot maximaal 3 kuren per jaar, en een interval van minimaal 2 maanden aan te houden tussen de kuren.
Paromomycine en clioquinol zijn op Aruba niet standaard beschikbaar. Overleg met ziekenhuisapotheker over beschikbaarheid.
