General comments
E. dispar is apathogeen, alleen E. histolytica behandelen
Behandeling amoebenabces of -dysenterie altijd gevolgd door contactamoebicide middel: clioquinol (suspensie FNA 100mg/ml) of paromomycine (tijdens zwangerschap). Beide middelen zijn op Aruba niet standaard in voorraad: overleg met apotheker. Paromomycine is op Aruba niet geregistreerd.
Behandeling uitsluitend via infectioloog.
