Extra informatie: geen sexueel contact tot 7 dagen na behandeling

Bij gonokokken arthritis: zie hoofdstuk septische arthritis, gonokokken

Nacontrole: PCR gonorroe 4-6 weken na beeindiging van therapie, ALLLEEN als:

Faryngeale gonorroe
Indien NIET met Ceftriaxon is behandeld
Bij persisterende klachten, dan ook kweek afnemen i.o.m arts-microbioloog/infectioloog. Dan ook HIV, syphilis en chlamydia testen.

Partnerwaarschuwing:

Man met symptomatische gonorroe: waarschuw en test alle partners 4-6 weken voorafgaand aan de klachten
Man met asymptomatische gonorroe en bij vrouwen: alle partners van de laatste 6 maanden
